Grace, a Beagle × Australian Shepherd mix, recently joined us at Perfected Canine Obedience for a 2-week Board & Train program. Grace is a fun, loving, and very high-energy dog whose excitement made it difficult for her to focus — especially during leash walks and structured moments.
Her owners enrolled her in training to address:
- Leash pulling
- Jumping on people
- Difficulty settling in her crate
- Excessive whining in the crate
- Lack of a reliable come command
During her stay, Grace received consistent structure, clear communication, and daily hands-on training. As a result, she has made significant improvements in her leash walking, shows calmer crate behavior, and now responds reliably to her recall command — even with distractions present.
Grace has also excelled socially, making many friends while learning how to remain calm and focused in group environments. Her progress is a great example of how proper structure and training help high-energy dogs thrive.
